Michael Kostrzewa, P.E., holds a B.S. from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (1983) and an M.S. from Colorado State University (1991). He has been employed by CSU since 1988 and held positions with the CSU Energy Analysis and Diagnostic Center, Waste Minimization Assessment Center, and the Industrial Assessment Center. He has conducted and participated in over 500 industrial, commercial, and agricultural assessments and served as co-author for the accompanying assessment reports. He is Director of the Colorado Wind Application Center and has helped to install eight (8) wind turbines at rural Colorado K-12 schools and provided teacher training and curricula in wind energy as part of the WAC. He is also Co-Director of the new Center for Agricultural Energy at CSU which was established in 2011 to empower agricultural producers in Colorado to make environmentally and financially sound energy decisions. Mr. Kostrzewa is a Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado (2003). He is also a Qualified Instructor for the DOEs Pumping System Assessment Tool (2003) and is a Qualified Specialist in the Fan System Assessment Tool (2005) and the AIRMaster+ software (2006).
